ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- Antoine Jordan and Michael Haddix each scored 11 points to lead Siena to a 59-56 victory over Iona on Saturday.
The Saints (1-7, 1-1 MAAC) limited the Gaels (2-6, 0-2) to 23 percent shooting from the floor and grabbed 50 rebounds for their first win of the season.
Iona scored 11 of the game's first 14 points, but Siena rallied to take its first lead of the game 20-19 on a Jordan free throw. Jordan also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.
Iona, which trailed 27-26 at halftime, had a chance to tie the game, but Kiril Wachsmann and Ricky Soliver each missed three-pointers in the final 15 seconds.
Soliver scored a game-high 23 points. Steve Burtt added 18 points for the Gaels.
