BALTIMORE (AP) -- Ronald Timus scored 19 points as Morgan State defeated Maine 71-63 on Saturday.
Timus, who also had six rebounds, was 7-of-12 in field goals and 5-of-7 from the free-throw line.
Morgan State (3-6) also got help from Karanvir Aujla. He scored 12 points, making all four 3-point shots he attempted.
Morgan State was 5-of-12 in 3-point shots, compared with just 5-of-21 for Maine.
Morgan State also went 14-of-16 from the free-throw line. Maine went 10-of-15 in free throws.
Maine (3-6) was led by Ernest Turner, who scored 16 points. Three other players scored in double figures, including Kevin Reed, who scored 14, David Debois, who also scored 14 and Chris Markwood, who scored 10.
Olli Ahvenniemi blocked three shots for Maine.
Morgan State led 35-27 at halftime.
