SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) -- Chad Maclies hit two free throws with 12 seconds left in overtime to lift Centenary to an 84-82 win over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday.
Maclies scored a game-high 23 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the floor, making 13-of-14 free throws. He also pulled in eight rebounds.
Besides Maclies, Centenary (2-5) had three other players in double digits. Tyrone Hamilton scored 17 points, Kevin Taylor 16 and Curtis Tillman 15.
Louisiana-Monroe (4-2) was led by Aaron Branch with 20 points. He was 7-of-12 from the floor, hitting 6-of-10 3-pointers. Adrian Harper added 15 points and DeAndre Alexander and Daryl Mason each had 11.
Centenary led 39-34 at halftime, hitting 16-of-28 shots, or 57 percent, from the field. For the game, Centenary made 51 percent of its shots from the floor.
Louisiana-Monroe outrebounded Centenary 39-32 with Alexander bringing in a game-high 11 rebounds.
