KANSAS CITY, MO. (AP) -- Eric Coleman scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Northern Iowa beat Missouri-Kansas City 81-58 Saturday night.
The Panthers (4-2) took the lead for good on a 3-point shot by Chris Foster with 9:14 left in the first half that gave Northern Iowa a 17-14 lead.
A dunk by Atila Santos with 2:27 left in the game gave the Panthers their biggest lead at 79-53.
Grant Stout also had 10 rebounds for Northern Iowa. Ben Jacobson scored 14 points while Stout and Erik Crawford had 12 points each.
Mike English led Missouri-Kansas City (0-4) with 18 points, Carlton Aaron had 13 points and 14 rebounds and Brandon Temple scored 12 points.
The Panthers shot 51 percent and held the Kangaroos to 30 percent.
