BALTIMORE (AP) -- Landy Thompson scored 24 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Mount St. Mary's to a 69-55 win against Loyola, Md., on Saturday.
Thompson went 10-of-14 from the free-throw line.
Kiel Butler scored 13 points for Mount St. Mary's (3-3). Gus Durr and Mychal Kearse helped out under the boards with seven rebounds each.
Loyola (1-6) was led by Sean Corrigan, who scored 11 points. Freddie Stanback was close behind him with 10 points. Rashaud Nixon led Loyola in rebounds with six.
Mount St. Mary's was 8-of-16 in 3-point shots, compared to Loyola which only managed to go 3-of-9.
Mount St. Mary's also shot better from the free-throw line, going 19-of-27. Loyola made less than half of their free throws, making 12-of-25.
Mount St. Mary's led at halftime 38-26.
