WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Lucious Jordan scored a game-high 24 points as the University of Albany defeated Hartford 71-59 Saturday.
Levi Levine and Jamar Wilson each added 14 points.
Albany took the lead and held it for the first 10 minutes of play, but the Hawks went on a 10-0 run to pull Hartford ahead, 16-11. With a basket in the final minute of the first half, Levine gave Albany a 31-29 advantage at the break.
Albany broke the game open with 15:04 remaining, scoring nine straight points in four minutes. Hartford cut the lead to 54-49, but an 8-0 run with a layup from Wilson and back-to-back 3-pointers from Jordan and Levine sealed the game.
For Hartford, Trevor Goode led in scoring with 15 points. Bo Taylor added 10.
Albany (4-3) shot 55 percent for the game, and 53 percent from 3-point range. Hartford (2-4) was 42 percent from the floor and 22 percent from 3-point range.
