BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Mario Jordan's basket with 13.2 seconds left gave Buffalo a 69-65 win over Canisius on Saturday night in men's college basketball.
Jordan outfought a slew of Canisius defenders underneath for Turner Battle's rebound and was fouled on the play. After Jordan completed the 3-point play, Darnell Wilson missed a potential game-tying bank shot off the glass with just four seconds remaining.
Battle led Buffalo (6-2) with a game-high 20 points, while Jordan scored 12 and Mark Bortz and Roderick Middleton each scored 11.
Wilson and DeWitt Doss each led Canisius (1-5) with 17 points. Middleton led with 8 rebounds. Bortz and Jordan each grabbed six rebounds.
Buffalo's reserves outscored the Golden Griffins' bench 22-8.
Buffalo jumped out to an early lead thanks to a 12-2 opening run and led 37-26 at halftime.
But Canisius closed the gap and took the lead with 9:32 remaining on Kevin Downey's layup. Downey finished with 12 points and four rebounds.
The Bulls were an even 50 percent from the floor with 27-for-54, while Canisius shot 24-of-47 for 51.1 percent and was 8-of-16 from the foul line.
