MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) -- Terrance Chapman had 16 points and 11 rebounds to help Ball State snap Indiana State's four-game winning streak, 65-59, on Saturday.
Ball State's Julien Mills led all scorers with 17 points, and Peyton Stovall added 16 more in a game that had eight lead changes.
Ball State (5-2) led 32-23 at halftime, but the Sycamores (5-3) made a strong run in the second half, shooting 50 percent, compared with 30.4 percent in the first half, for an overall percentage of 41.2. Ball State was not much better, shooting 43.6 percent for the game.
The Cardinals were able to win their third straight game by outrebounding the Sycamores 42-29 for the game, collecting 11 second-chance points to Indiana State's 7.
Ball State also made 8 of 10 free throws in the second half, going 13-for-19 in the game, for 68.4 percent. Indiana State was 10-of-18 from the stripe, for 55.6 percent.
Amani Daanish had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Sycamores, with Eric Gray also scoring 14, and Tyson Schnitker adding 12 more.
