INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Bruce Horan sank five 3-pointers for all 15 of his points to lead Butler to a 73-39 win over Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday.
Brandon Polk also had 15 for Butler (4-3), and Avery Sheets added 10.
The Bulldogs shot 52 percent from the field and 44 percent from beyond the arc, while the Mastodons (3-7) managed just 31 percent shooting overall and 17 percent from 3-point range.
The Mastodons led for the first eight minutes until Butler tied the game at 11 and then took a 13-11 lead with 11:30 to go in the first half. Butler soon pulled away, leading 34-20 at halftime.
The second half belonged to the Bulldogs, whose largest lead was 34 points, the margin of victory.
David Simon led the Mastodons with 14, with no other Fort Wayne players scoring in double figures. Quintin Butler had eight points and seven rebounds for the Mastodons.
