BOONE, N.C. (AP) -- Noah Brown scored 17 points and made four 3-pointers to lift Appalachian State to a 98-67 win against Milligan on Saturday night.
Neither team led by more than 3 points in the first half, with the Mountaineers (5-3) up 47-44 at the break.
The Mountaineers started the second half with a 16-5 run and extended their lead to as many as 23 points with 7:30 left on the clock.
Appalachian State ended the game on an 11-0 run for the 31 point victory, 98-67.
Brown led a quartet of Mountaineers in double-figure scoring. Chris McFarland added 14, Derek Thomas sunk 13 and Jeremy Clayton came off the bench to tally 11. D.J. Thompson had four rebounds and a team-leading six assists off the bench.
Anthony Wilhelm led the Buffalos (8-4) with 19 points, going 3-for-5 from 3-point range. Craig Emmeret added 18 points and five assists, hitting 7-of-9 from the field and adding five assists. Yony Kiffle had eight assists.
Appalachian State shot 53 percent, but was outrebounded 33 to 28.
Milligan was 25-of-52 from the field for 48.1 percent.
