HOUSTON (AP) -- Andre Owens scored 20 points as Houston won its third straight game by beating Southeastern Louisiana 68-61 Saturday night.
Houston (7-3) shot 68 percent (15-of-22) in the first half as it led 35-21 at halftime.
Southeastern Louisiana (6-4) got back in the game behind Ricky Woods, who scored 19 or his 23 points in the second half.
The Lions opened the second half on a 10-0 run as Terry Bryant's 3-pointer cut the Cougars' lead to 35-31.
Houston ended Southeastern Louisiana's rally when Brian Latham hit a 3-pointer for a 57-51. Latham had 11 points.
Southeastern Louisiana's Terry Bryant added 18 points.
The Lions turned the ball over 14 times in the first half helping the Cougars jump out their 14-point halftime lead.
