CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) -- Darren Brooks scored 19 points and Jamaal Tatum added 18, pacing Southern Illinois to a 72-68 victory Saturday over Southeast Missouri State.
Brooks also had six assists, six rebounds and four steals for the Salukis (6-2), who led 33-27 at halftime after shooting 54 percent from the field while holding the Indians to 32 percent first-half shooting.
Dainmon Gonner had 22 points and Reggie Golson 17 for Southeast Missouri (3-4), which made eight of its 13 three-point attempts and shot 44 percent overall.
The Salukis shot 54 percent from the field, including five of 11 from behind the arc.
