NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Chris Brown scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Chattanooga beat Belmont 75-67 Saturday night.
The Mocs (4-2) win follows a 13-day break after beating Tennessee 69-68 on Dec. 5.
Belmont (2-5) got within 42-41 with 11:39 to play, but a 17-5 run put the Mocs up 59-46 with 6:58 remaining and they never looked back.
Chattanooga was 23-for-26 from the free throw line in the second half, outscoring Belmont 28-13 from the line.
The Mocs took the lead for good on an Alphonso Pugh layup at 9:22 in the first half to make the score 22-20.
Chris Brown tied his career-high with 19 points for Chattanooga. Pugh scored 13 points and Mindaugas Katelynas added 10 before fouling out.
The Bruins were led in scoring by Jese Snyder with 19 and Nick Otis added 11.
