PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Seamus Boxley scored 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting to lead Portland State to a 79-66 win over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday night.
Freshman Scott Morrison had a career-high 16 points and eight rebounds for the Vikings (6-4) and Blake Walker added 12 points.
Cleve Woodfork led Tennessee-Martin (3-5) with 16 points. Jared Newson added 13 points for the Skyhawks, but was just 2-of-10 from the field.
Tennessee-Martin struggled all night from the field, finishing at 36 percent.
Meanwhile, Portland State had one of its most prolific games of the season, connecting on 52 percent from the floor.
Morrison sparked an 8-0 Portland State run at the end of the first half with four straight points and a no-look feed to Walker under the basket to give the Vikings a 33-24 lead at halftime.
Portland State built on its advantage early in the second half and led 40-27 when Boxley converted a breakaway dunk with 17:22 left to play.
The Skyhawks closed to within 46-42 with 12:19 left, but Portland State responded with a 10-2 run, establishing a cushion it would not lose.
