ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- Levi Stukes and Sundiata Gaines scored 17 points apiece and Georgia defeated Bethune-Cookman 78-67 Wednesday, the fourth straight win for the Bulldogs.
Channing Toney added 15 for Georgia (5-3) in a game dominated by perimeter players. Diondre Larmond led Bethune-Cookman (3-6) with 22 points, including five 3-pointers.
The Bulldogs led 59-46 with 13 minutes to play after Stukes scored on an in-bounds play, but the Wildcats hit three straight 3-pointers to cut Georgia's lead to 61-55 with 11:29 to go.
Georgia extended its lead to 69-56 when Corey Gibbs hit a short hook at 5:47. The Bulldogs failed to score over the next three minutes, and Kory Crumbley's jumper with 2:36 to play brought Bethune-Cookman to 69-63, but the Wildcats could get no closer.
Bethune-Cookman went up 19-11 with 12:12 to go in the first half when Larmond a 3-pointer, but the Bulldogs answered with a 14-3 run. The Wildcats recaptured the lead with 5:51 to go in the half when Johnathan Burris scored from in close to make it 29-27. But Georgia reeled off eight straight points, taking a 35-29 lead on a putback by Gaines with 3:58 to go in the half.
Georgia led 43-36 at halftime.
Bethune-Cookman had 23 turnovers.
