GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Matt Walsh scored a season-high 23 points and Al Horford had 14 points and 12 rebounds as Florida routed Eastern Kentucky 98-49 Wednesday night.
Walsh finished 8-of-12 shooting and had five of the team's eight 3-pointers. He hit four 3-pointers in a 2-minute span in the first half that helped the Gators (7-2) open up a 23-point lead.
Horford, a freshman and the son of former NBA player Tito Horford, added two steals and two blocked shots. He was making his second start in place of Adrian Moss, who missed the game with a sore back.
Florida was in control from the opening tip. The Gators began the game with a 15-2 run, ended the first half with a 14-2 spurt and led by 32 at the break.
The second half wasn't any closer. The Gators ran the floor consistently and scored with ease against the Colonels (8-2).
Each of Florida's 12 dressed players, including both walk-ons, scored at least two points.
David Lee had 12 points, Anthony Roberson added 11 and Taurean Green finished with eight assists.
The Gators were up 40 points midway through the second half and led by as many as 50 in the waning seconds.
Matt Witt led Eastern Kentucky with 10 points, the only player in double figures. The Colonels shot 27 percent from the floor, were just 2-of-15 from beyond the arc and had 22 turnovers.
