COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) -- Antoine Wright scored 23 points and had a career-high seven assists to lead Texas A&M to a 97-66 victory over Grambling State Wednesday night.
The Aggies (9-0) jumped out to a 20-0 lead and shot 83 percent from the field for the first 12 minutes of play, increasing their lead to 38-12. They shot 57.6 percent from the field for the game.
Joseph Jones scored a career-high 19 points while Edjuan Green added another 14 points and 11 rebounds for Texas A&M.
Maurice Searight scored 16 points to lead Grambling. Andre Ratliff added 11. Grambling State (3-3) shot 34 percent from the field.
A&M, under new coach Billy Gillispie, is off to its best start since the 1959-60 team began the year at 10-0.
