LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Akeem Clark sank six 3-pointers and scored 27 points to lead IUPUI to a 72-60 win over New Orleans in the consolation game of the Billy Minardi Classic on Wednesday night.
Clark, who had seven 3-pointers and 23 points in the Jaguars' 80-60 loss to Louisville on Tuesday, grabbed eight rebounds on Wednesday to help the Jaguars (5-5) snap a four-game losing streak.
Matt Bostic scored 14 points to lead New Orleans (3-7), which has lost five straight.
The Jaguars led 29-25 at halftime, despite shooting 34.5 percent from the field (9 of 28) in the first half.
Clark hit two 3-pointers early in the second half to put IUPUI up 44-34, its first double-digit lead. George Hill hit another 3-pointer to push the lead to 13.
A three-point play by Shawn Malloy and a tip-in by Kenny Simelton trimmed New Orleans' deficit to single digits, but Clark sank another 3-pointer with 10:33 left to help the Jaguars keep control.
Austin Peay (2-6) was playing No. 18 Louisville (7-2) later in the championship game of the four-team tournament.
The Billy Minardi Classic is named after Pitino's brother-in-law, who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center.
