CAROLINA, Puerto Rico (AP) -- Mike Dean's 3-pointer with 35.1 seconds left in overtime led Middle Tennessee past Delaware 73-69 Wednesday at the San Juan Shootout.
Dean hit his shot with Middle Tennessee behind 69-68. Marcus Morrison added two free throws with 17.4 seconds to go.
Delaware (5-5) sent the game into overtime when Andrew Washington hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key as time expired.
The Fightin' Blue Hens led most of the game, taking a 31-24 halftime lead with 11 points from Rulon Washington, on 3-of-4 3-point shooting, and 10 points from Andrew Washington.
Middle Tennessee (7-3) first went ahead with 10:02 to play in regulation, when Darrio Scott made it 46-45 with a layup.
Michael Cuffee led Middle Tennessee with 16 points, Dean had 14, and Morrison 12.
Andrew Washington scored 25 for Delaware, including 3-of-5 on 3-pointers, and Harding Nana added 19 points and 14 rebounds.
