DAVIS, Calif. (AP) -- Kevin Pinkney had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Nevada to a 60-51 victory over UC Davis on Wednesday night.
Nick Fazekas added 14 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots for Nevada (7-3), who leads the all-time series 75-24.
Phil Rasmussen had 17 points, and Ryan Moore scored 13 for the Aggies (4-6). UC Davis was without starting point guard Rommel Marentez, who is sidelined with a knee injury.
Playing at a slow-pace, the game was tied when Pickney hit a lay-up with 40 seconds left in the first half to give the Wolfpack a 20-18 lead.
Led by Rasmussen's 10 points, the Aggies shot 7-for-25 (28 percent) from the floor without going to the free-throw line.
The Wolfpack jumped out to a 9-2 run in the second half, before UC Davis came back to cut Nevada's lead 33-29 when Fowzi Abdelsamad made two free throws at the 13:13 mark.
The Wolfpack clamped down on the Aggies defensively and slowly built up a 51-41 lead when Fazekas made two free throws with 3:34 left in the game.
