GREELEY, Colo. (AP) -- Kirk Archibeque scored seven of his 30 points in the second overtime as Northern Colorado beat Texas State 86-82 Wednesday night.
The crowd of 535 stormed the floor after Northern Colorado's first home victory over a Division 1 opponent in nearly 25 years.
Archibeque also had 10 rebounds for Northern Colorado (3-12), whose last Division 1 home victory came against Arkansas-Little Rock on Jan. 13, 1977. Their last multiple overtime win came in triple overtime against South Dakota in 1999.
Matt Kline added 16 points as the Bears ended a five-game losing streak.
Anthony Dill led Texas State (5-4) with 23 points before fouling out.
Archibeque scored the first five points in the second overtime to put Northern Colorado ahead 79-74. Chris Langhorne's layup got Texas State within 84-81 with a minute left. Sean Taibi's missed a 3-pointer for Northern Colorado and Langhorne sank a free throw with 3.8 seconds left, but the Bobcats lost the ball on the rebound attempt.
Earlier, Andre Oupoh made two 3-pointers in the last 31 seconds of regulation, the last with 9 seconds left in the game, to send it into overtime.
A few seconds earlier, Kline, an 84 percent free throw shooter, missed two free throws and a chance to extend Northern Colorado's two point lead.
In the first overtime, the Bears' Sean Olson tied the game in the last 20 seconds on a tip in.
Texas State had trailed by four points at the half.
