CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP) -- Tony Lee had 14 points as Robert Morris defeated Duquesne 74-63 on Wednesday for the Colonials' first win against the Dukes in 14 years.
Robert Morris (3-7) trailed only once in the game, 18-17 in the first half, and led by as many as 14 in the second half to snap a four-game losing streak.
Derek Coleman added 12 points and Chaz McCrommon had 11 for the Colonials, who last beat the Dukes on Dec. 22, 1990, at Duquesne.
The Dukes (2-10), who have lost nine of their last ten, had beat the Colonials in their last six meetings. Robert Morris had never beaten the Duquesne at home in three tries.
Kieron Achara had a career-high 19 points for the Dukes, while Bryant McAllister added 12 and Jack Higgins and Keith Gayden each had 11 points.
The game attracted a crowd of 2,852 to the Sewall Center, the largest to see a Robert Morris game there since the arena opened on Nov. 30, 1985 when Duquesne beat Robert Morris 80-65.
