HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) -- Mark Wilson came off the bench to score 27 points and Danny Gathings had 24 as High Point defeated James Madison 82-63 on Wednesday night.
Gathings had 10 rebounds for the Panthers (4-8) and Wilson had eight. Zione White also scored 10 points for High Point.
The Panthers took the lead at 12-9 with 14:56 left in the first half and held a 45-28 margin at intermission.
High Point held the lead throughout the second half, with the Dukes getting no closer than 10.
Cavell Johnson led the Dukes (2-7) with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Jomo Belfor had 16 points and Ray Barbosa 15.
The Panthers outshot the Dukes 44.1 percent to 34.5 percent.
