TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Allen Pinson scored 25 points and Keith Triplett added 21, including 10 straight when Toledo went ahead for good, and the Rockets defeated Lake Superior State 90-71 Wednesday night.
Pinson scored eight of his team's first 12 second-half points, helping the Rockets (4-5) tie the score 46-all after trailing 40-34 at halftime.
Triplett put in the next 10 Toledo points as the Rockets took a 56-51 lead. He made a layup and four free throws, putting Toledo ahead to stay 52-51, then hit another free throw and a 3-pointer.
Sammy Villegas followed with two free throws and Kareem Milson scored on a putback to complete a 10-0 run, putting the Rockets up 60-51. The Lakers (3-8) went scoreless for four minutes during Toledo's surge and never got closer than seven after that.
Jim Clement led Lake Superior State with 23 points, Scott Jamison scored 12 and Andy Bosscher had 10.
