BOZEMAN (AP) -- Marvin Moss led a balanced scoring attack with 20 points as Montana State beat Montana Tech 74-44 Wednesday.
Al Beye scored 16 points for MSU on 8-of-9 shooting from the field and Ja'Ron Jefferson added 13 points and nine rebounds.
Tech (5-9) pulled to 59-35 on Robbie Redekopp's 3-pointer with 10 minutes, 21 seconds left, but Montana State (5-7) went on a 12-2 run to take a 71-37 lead on a Moss layup with 3:13 left.
Jake Williams led Tech with 17 points.
The Orediggers stayed with the Bobcats for much of the first half. Casey Briggs' put-back with 10:19 remaining tied the score at 19. MSU answered with seven straight points to go up 26-19 following Nick Dissly's 3-point play at the 7:51 mark.
Tech cut the lead to 26-24 on a pair of free throws by Williams with 6:38 left, but MSU reeled off 15 straight points over the final 4:25 to take a 41-24 halftime lead on Dennis Woodall's 3-pointer with 34 seconds to go in the half.
