CONWAY, S.C. (AP) -- Pele Paelay scored 20 points to lead Coastal Carolina to a 63-45 victory over Ohio Northern on Wednesday night.
Moses Sonko was 6 of 6 from the field and finished with 13 points for the Chanticleers (3-8), who never trailed. Coastal Carolina used a 15-0 run in the first half to pull away and led 32-23 at halftime.
The Polar Bears (5-6) trailed by as few as seven in the second half but couldn't get any closer. Greg Badenhop and Phil Hoying scored 13 apiece for Ohio Northern.
Leading by nine with 7:18 remaining, the Chanticleers outscored the Polar Bears 13-4 to seal the win.
Coastal Carolina shot 47.9 percent (23 of 48) from the field compared with Ohio Northern's 26.9 percent (18 of 67).
