ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Reggie Golson had 19 points, nine rebounds and two blocks, and Southeast Missouri State hit eight 3-pointers in a 65-49 victory over Saint Louis on Wednesday night.

Dainmon Gonner added 17 points and two blocks, and Derek Winans had 13 points for the Indians (4-6), who had a strong overall game after consecutive losses to North Texas and Southern Illinois. Southeast Missouri was 8-for-14 from long range, including 3-for-3 by Winans.

Saint Louis (2-9) shot 39 percent from the field and only 7-for-18 from the free-throw line while falling to 1-5 at home. The Billikens have been outscored 132-90 in their last two games, and this is their worst start since 1991-92, which had a 2-9 beginning and a 5-23 finish.

The Billikens were without leading scorer Reggie Bryant, a 14-point scorer sidelined by a left eye injury. Danny Brown, who got his first career start in place of Bryant, was 2-for-8 and had four points.

Izik Ohanon had 10 points and eight rebounds for Saint Louis. Dwayne Polk scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half.

Southeast Missouri shot 54 percent in the first half behind Golson's 11 points and held Saint Louis to only 27 percent, taking a 34-18 lead. The Indians were 5-for-7 from 3-point range but had some luck, with two of their three 3-pointers during a 10-0 run.

Southeast Missouri, playing a state rival for only the second time since 1945, extended the lead to as many as 26 points in the second half.

Saint Louis has been plagued by poor shooting all season, entering the game at 37 percent, and the struggles continued. The Billikens began the game 3-for-13 and scored only 18 points in the first half, avoiding matching a season low on Dwayne Polk's layup with one second to go.
