DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) -- John Allen scored 15 points in the second half to lift Seton Hall past Davidson 73-63 on Wednesday.
Kelly Whitney added 16 points and six rebounds as the Pirates (6-3) recovered from a six-point halftime deficit to win their second straight game.
Allen, who was not in the starting lineup for the first time this season, was 0-for-4 from the field in the first half. But he scored the final seven points in a 16-3 run to start the second half that gave the Pirates a 46-39 lead with 12:22 left.
The Wildcats, who shot 54 percent in the first half, missed nine of their first 10 shots after halftime and committed three turnovers during the run. Davidson got within four points three times in the final six minutes, but could get no closer.
Allen added two free throws and a steal and layup in a 14-8 run to end the game as Seton Hall used a 39-27 rebounding advantage to improve to 4-0 all-time against Davidson.
Brendan Winters had 13 points, but only had one field goal in the second half for the Wildcats (5-6), who lost their second straight game and fell to a Big East Conference school at home for the second time this season. Georgetown won at Belk Arena 76-61 on Nov. 30.
