LORETTO, Pa. (AP) -- Darshan Luckey scored 24 points and Jason Osborne added 17 to lead St. Francis, Pa., to a 79-70 win over Long Island University on Wednesday night.

St. Francis (7-4, 2-0 Northeast Conference) took control of the game by holding Long Island (4-7, 1-1) scoreless for seven minutes in the first half. The Blackbirds tied it at 9-9 with 15:03 left in the half before the Red Flash scored seven unanswered points to take the lead for good.

James Williams hit 5-of-9 3-pointers and scored 24 points to help Long Island rally within 73-68 with less than a minute to go.

The Red Flash hit their free throws down the stretch and sank 20-of-23 foul shots on the night in posting the win.

Rahsaan Benton had 13 points for St. Francis.

Kellen Allen matched his career high with 16 points for Long Island, while Evan Meekins added 12 off the bench.
