LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) -- With 0.2 seconds remaining and the game tied, Chris Cameron converted on an inside basket to give Louisiana-Lafayette a 63-61 win over Southern Illinois Wednesday night.
The scored was tied 61-61 after Southern Illinois' Mike Dale hit 1-of-2 free throws with 27 seconds remaining and the Ragin' Cajuns took a timeout with 18 seconds left.
After inbounding the ball, the Cajuns rotated around the perimeter before Brian Hamilton began a baseline drive for the game-winning assist.
Hamilton drew several Saluki defenders to him out on the right wing, but he dished the ball behind them on the baseline over to Cameron, who lifted a layup off the glass and into the net for his second last-second game-winning shot of the season.
Cameron also sank a last-second 3-point basket that to give the Cajuns a 71-70 win over McNeese State on Dec. 23.
Tiras Wade led the Cajuns (6-6) with 18 points. Brian Hamilton added 17 and Cameron finished with 12.
Southern Illinois (11-3) was led by LaMar Owen and Stetson Hairston, who scored 18 points apiece. Mike Dale added 12.
