SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Andrew Bogut scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Utah's 81-60 win over Whitworth Wednesday night.

It was the Utes (12-3) seventh straight win and marks the end of their non-conference schedule.

The Pirates (4-4) couldn't stack up against Utah's size, and the Utes pulled away early.

Utah dominated inside, outscoring Whitworth 40-10 in the paint and holding a 36-19 rebounding advantage.

Utah is undefeated at home and Bogut has scored more than 20 points in each of the last eight games. This was only the third game this year in which he failed to get a double double.

Marc Jackson had 18 points for the Utes an made five of his six attempts from three point range.

Bryan Williams led the way for the Pirates, scoring 21 points, including five 3-pointers. As a team, Whitworth attempted 28 three point shots, connecting on 12 of them.

Utah will open Mountain West Conference play on Monday night, when UNLV visits Salt Lake City. Whitworth opens up conference play on Friday at home against Linfield College.
