DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Darryl Proctor scored a game-high 18 points to lead Coppin State to a 63-56 win against Delaware State on Saturday.
Coppin State (3-10, 3-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) also got help from Nicholas King, who scored 17 points.
Delaware State (3-10, 1-1 MEAC) was led by Aaron Williams who came off the bench to score 13 points. Henry Colter scored 12 points and had 14 rebounds for Coppin State.
Jahsha Bluntt and Caheem Broadus each scored 12 point for the Hornets.
Coppin State led 24-14 after a tip-in by Colter with 4:45 left in the first half. Delaware State had 12 of the final 16 points of the half to trim the Eagles' lead to 28-26 at halftime.
Coppin State scored 20 of the first 24 points in the second half, and opened up a 48-30 lead when King hit three free throws with 10:44 left to play.
The Eagles led by as many as 21 before a late rally by the Hornets.
