RADFORD, Va. (AP) -- Chris Oliver scored 28 points and Whit Holcomb-Faye added 23 to lead Radford to a 93-82 come-from-behind victory over foul-plagued Coastal Carolina on Saturday night.
Radford (6-7, 1-1 Big South) was 31-of-41 from the free-throw line. Coastal Carolina was whistled for 29 fouls, and three Chanticleers fouled out in the final 2:49.
Coastal Carolina (4-10, 1-1) shot 57 percent in the first half to take a 44-38 lead at the break, but Radford pulled even at 46-46 on Holcomb-Faye's 3-pointer with 17:02 left.
Radford broke the game open with a 19-5 spurt later in the half. Oliver had 10 points in the run, which he started with a pair of free throws to cut Coastal Carolina's lead to 62-61 with 9:35 remaining.
Andre Bynum's layup 24 seconds later after a Holcomb-Faye steal put Radford ahead for good. Oliver scored on a jumper, a free throw, a three-point play and a layup as Radford built a 78-67 lead with 3:30 left.
Radford sealed the victory by hitting 12 of 14 free throw attempts down the stretch.
Reggie McIntyre added 14 points for Radford.
Moses Sonko scored 18 for Coastal Carolina. Pele Paelay added 14, Jack Leasure 13 and Alvin Green 11.
