KENT, Ohio (AP) -- Kevin Warzynski had 19 points and eight rebounds, and Kent State never trailed in a 68-49 win over Miami of Ohio on Saturday.
Warzynski hit 6 of 9 field goals, including both of his 3-point attempts. Jason Edwin scored 15 for Kent State (10-4, 3-1 Mid-American), while DeAndre Haynes had 12 points and eight assists. Armon Gates added 11 points.
William Hatcher led Miami (7-4, 2-1) with 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting.
The Golden Flashes outrebounded the Redhawks 32-25, who allowed Kent five second chance points, compared to none for Miami.
Kent State also scored 23 points off 17 Miami turnovers, while the Redhawks managed 13 points off 12 Golden Flash turnovers.
