SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) -- Tim Blackwell led UMKC with 25 points as the Kangaroos defeated Mid-Continent conference foe Centenary 70-66 Saturday.
Blackwell was 4-of-5 from the free-throw line and 5-of-7 from 3-point range. Carlton Aaron had his fourth double-double of the season, scoring 18 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Mike English added 14 points for the Kangaroos (3-7, 3-0 Mid-Continent).
Tyrone Hamilton and Chad Maclies led the Gents (2-11, 0-3) with 21 points each, a career-high for Hamilton. Maclies grabbed seven rebounds and nabbed three steals while shooting 7-for-11 from the floor.
