BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Michael Harris scored 20 of his game-high 25 points in the second half, and Lorenzo Williams added 14, to lead Rice to an 87-75 win over Boise State Saturday.
Harris hit nine of 11 from the field, made seven of eight free throws and pulled down nine rebounds for the Owls.
There were 12 lead changes in the first half, and the biggest advantage by either team was Rice's 34-30 halftime lead.
The Owls steadily pulled ahead in the second half, and held their biggest lead 67-48 lead with 7:45 left.
Led by Jermaine Blackburn, Boise State made a late run, narrowing the Rice lead to 71-59 with 5:14 left, but the Owls were able hold off the Broncos.
Blackburn finished with 22 points, while Seth Robinson added 14 for the Broncos (7-7,1-2 WAC).
The Owls (8-4, 3-1) dominated inside, out-rebounding Boise St. 38-24 and outscoring the home team in the paint 44-26.
