FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) -- Landy Thompson scored a game-high 25 points, including two critical 3-pointers in the final minutes, as Mount St. Mary's remained unbeaten in the Northeast Conference with a 67-60 victory over Sacred Heart.
Thompson, whose late jumper beat Central Connecticut on Thursday, hit a 3-pointer with 1:40 left to give the Mount (5-7, 3-0 NEC) a 60-56 lead.
After Sacred Heart (1-10, 0-3) cut the lead to two, Thompson made another 3-pointer with 59 seconds left. He scored nine points in the final 3:19.
Gus Durr added 10 points for Mount St. Mary's, which won its second game this season against the Pioneers.
Joey Henley scored a team-high 13 points for Sacred Heart, which has lost nine straight. Mike Parker and Ryon Howard added 10 apiece.
