CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) -- Reggie Golson had 24 points and nine rebounds to lead Southeast Missouri State to a 79-60 win over Eastern Illinois on Tuesday night.
The Indians (6-8, 1-2 Ohio Valley Conference) got the lead early in the game and kept it, grabbing 29 points off turnovers. Southeast Missouri State held the Panthers (5-9, 0-3) to 41 percent shooting (21-of-51) from the field, while shooting 49 percent (28-of-57).
Dainmon Gonner had 23 points for the Indians, and Derek Winans added 11 points.
Josh Gomes led Eastern Illinois with 21 points, including 8-of-8 from the free-throw line, while Aaron Patterson added 14 points.
The Panthers' starting point guard, Jake Sinclair, was ejected from the game after a technical foul with 1:20 left in the first half.
