WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) -- Kevin Hamilton scored 24 points, leading Holy Cross to a 78-53 win over Iona on Tuesday night.
Keith Simmons added 14 points off the bench for Holy Cross (11-5). Greg Jenkins led Iona (5-11) with 16 points and Steve Burtt added 11.
Hamilton and Simmons broke the game open with their long-range shooting, going a combined 9 for 13 from 3-point range. The Crusaders were 12 of 19 overall on 3-point attempts.
The Crusaders took a 35-22 halftime lead, as Simmons hit three 3-pointers in the first half.
Hamilton made five 3-pointers in the second half, as Holy Cross opened up a 20-point lead, 46-26, with 16:30 remaining.
