MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) -- Darnell Hopkins and Shawn Witherspoon combined for 41 points Tuesday night to lead Murray State to a 96-70 victory over Tennessee-Martin.
Hopkins had 21 points and Witherspoon 20 for Murray State (9-6, 4-1 Ohio Valley Conference) as the Racers hit 57.8 percent from the floor to 43.9 percent for Tennessee-Martin (4-12, 1-4).
Murray State led all the way and by 31 points twice in the second half, the last coming with 11:08 left on a free throw by Charles Johnson, who finished with 12 points.
Trey Pearson and Reggie Jackson each had 11 points for the Racers.
Cleve Woodfork led the Skyhawks with 24 points, including all of his team's 15 points during a four-minute span of the second half. Justin Smith added 11 for Tennessee-Martin and Will Lewis had 10.
Murray State controlled the boards, 44-23.
The Racers led 49-27 at halftime.
