WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) -- Pat Doherty scored a game-high 16 points, leading five Holy Cross players in double figures in a 79-56 win over Navy on Friday.
Corey Johnson led Navy (4-13, 0-4) with 13 points and George O'Garro added 10.
Holy Cross (12-5, 3-1 Patriot) went on a 19-0 run to take a 26-11 lead with 9:22 left in the half. The Crusaders closed out the half with a 7-0 run, which included a three-pointer and two free throws by Doherty, to put Holy Cross up by 12 at the half, 38-26.
In the second half the Crusaders went on a 14-4 run, including two three-pointers by Kevin Hamilton, to take a 62-41 lead with 7:57 remaining. Holy Cross led by as much as 27 points in the second half.
Keith Simmons added 13 points, while Hamilton had 12 points and six rebounds.
