BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) -- Strong defense along with 17 points and 11 rebounds from Taylor Coppenrath lifted Vermont to a 62-45 win over Albany in America East men's basketball on Saturday.
The win was the 10th straight overall for the Catamounts (13-3) as they remain unbeaten in America East play at 8-0.
Trailing 20-15 with 7:19 left in the first half, Vermont held the Great Danes scoreless for nearly 10 minutes in cruising to the victory.
UVM held Albany to 26% from the floor in the second half and forced 21 turnovers for the contest. T.J. Sorrentine added 16 points and six assists. Freshman Josh Duell, an Albany-area native, chipped in with 11 points off the bench.
Jamar Wilson and Levi Levine scored 12 points apiece for Albany (8-9, 4-4 America East). Levine also had team-highs of eight rebounds and five assists.
