CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) -- Dainmon Gonner scored 23 points and Reggie Golson added 20 as Southeast Missouri State beat Austin Peay 65-52 on Saturday.
Southeast Missouri (7-10, 2-4 Ohio Valley) led 28-27 at halftime but Austin Peay (5-12, 3-2) took a 44-41 lead with nine minutes left.
Golson then scored four points to give the Redhawks the lead, and Southeast Missouri never trailed again.
Zac Schlader led Austin Peay with 14 points and Anthony Davis had 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
Gonner had seven rebounds and five steals for Southeast Missouri and Golson had eight rebounds and four blocked shots.
Southeast Missouri drew a season-high attendance of 6,607 as the school unveiled its new Redhawk mascot. The team was previously called the Indians.
