BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Thomas Viglianco scored 17 points and had eight rebounds, leading Birmingham-Southern to a 67-41 rout of Charleston Southern on Saturday.
Viglianco shot 5-of-9 from the field and was perfect in five free throw attempts for the Jaguars (9-8, 2-4 Big South Conference). Bucky McMillan added 11 points and Jakob Sigurdarson had 10.
The Jaguars hit 53.7 percent of their shots and 7-of-16 from 3-point range, while holding the Buccaneers (7-9, 4-2) to 36.4 shooting.
Chris Moore led the Charleston Southern with 12 points and Ferdinand Cain came of the bench with a career-high 11.
The Jaguars had 55 percent shooting in the first half to build a 36-24 halftime lead. The Bucs failed to score in the first six minutes of the second half, falling behind 45-26 with 13:22 remaining in the game. Birmingham-Southern's lead reached 30 points with 2:54 left to play.
