GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Brendan Winters and Jason Morton scored 17 points apiece and led a second half that gave Davidson a 68-61 victory over Furman on Saturday afternoon.
Morton hit 5-of-6 from 3-point range and Winters was 2-of-5 from behind the arc for the Wildcats (11-7, 7-0 Southern Conference), who won their sixth game in a row and 16th straight over the Paladins (10-8, 3-3).
Tony Carter scored 16 points and Robbie Bostain added 15 for Furman, which last beat Davidson in January 1995.
The Paladins' leading scorer Eric Webb, who was averaging 13.2 points a game, was held scoreless, missing five shots and two free throws.
Winters and Morton combined for 14 points during a 20-7 run that gave the Wildcats their largest lead at 61-48 with three minutes left.
Carter hit a 3 that sparked a 10-0 run and cut Davidson's lead to 61-58 with 37 seconds to go, but Winters made 5-of-6 free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
