CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Alphonso Pugh scored 23 points and two Chattanooga teammates had double-doubles in the Mocs 93-59 victory over East Tennessee State on Saturday.
Chris Brown scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Mindaugas Katelynas added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Mocs (12-4, 5-1), who snapped a four-game losing streak to ETSU (6-11, 2-5).
The Mocs opened the game with a 9-0 run, and led 45-30 at halftime.
Tim Smith, who finished with 16 points, hit a 3-pointer for the Bucs with 18:37 left to make it 47-33.
But Chattanooga answered with a 14-4 run capped by a jumper by Pugh. The Mocs extend their lead to as many as 35 in the second half as they outrebounded the Bucs 50-22.
The two squads have met in the Southern Conference tournament finals each of the last two years, but ETSU has had a disappointing season after back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.
Casey Long scored 14 points for Chattanooga, while Ben Rhoda and Travis Strong had 12 points each for ETSU.
