MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) -- Chad McKnight scored 17 points as Morehead State beat Jacksonville State 69-63 Saturday night.
Ramon Kelly and Quinton Smith each chipped in 15 points as Morehead State (8-9, 2-4 Ohio Valley Conference) snapped a three-game losing streak.
Morehead State led 34-27 at the half and never trailed in the second half. Jacksonville State, which dropped its 12 straight overall and sixth straight conference game, pulled to within 37-36 with 16:24 remaining in the game, but couldn't pass the Eagles.
Jacksonville State (4-14, 0-6 OVC) was led by Anthony Wilson's 15 points. Walker Russell added 13 points and 10 assists.
Morehead State hit 25 of 48 from the field (52 percent), including six of 15 3-pointers. The Eagles committed a season-low eight turnovers.
Jacksonville State connected on 24 of 54 shots from the field (42 percent) and outrebounded Morehead State 31-28.
