LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Alvin Cruz's layup with 0.2 seconds left in overtime gave Niagara a 75-73 win over Manhattan Saturday afternoon.
Cruz took the ball at the top of the arc and drove past Manhattan's Jason Wingate for an open layup that gave Niagara their 12th-straight home win. It also snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Jaspers.
Manhattan (9-7, 4-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) trailed by eight, 64-56, with 2:29 remaining in the second half but closed the period with a 10-2 run.
After Niagara's Juan Mendez missed a pair of free throws with 11.8 seconds left, Wingate hit a layup with 2.7 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 66 and send it to overtime.
Mendez led Niagara (11-6, 6-3) with 19 points and 11 rebounds. J.R. Duffey had 16 points and Cruz finished with 15.
Mike Konovelchick paced Manhattan with 18 points, 15 in the second half and overtime. CJ Anderson scored 14 and Peter Mulligan had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Manhattan fell to 0-3 in overtime games this season.
