BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) -- Marvin Moss had 18 points and seven rebounds Saturday to lead Montana State to an 88-68 victory over Northern Arizona.
Branden Miller and Ja'Ron Jefferson each scored 16 points for the Bobcats (10-8, 5-0 Big Sky), who won their fifth straight game after being picked to finish last in the league.
The Lumberjacks (9-10, 2-4) never held a lead, trailed 42-38 at halftime and could get closer than four points in the second half.
A 3-pointer by Kelly Golob got the Lumberjacks within 53-45 with 15:50 remaining, but the Bobcats answered with nine straight points to take a 62-45 lead on a layup by Jefferson with 14:21 remaining.
MSU led by as much as 84-60 after a 3-pointer by Miller with 3:34 left.
Kyle Landry and Cedric Hill led NAU with 13 points each and Reuben Boykin scored 10. Landry also had six rebounds.
Nick Dissly had 11 points and seven rebounds for MSU while Al Beye added 10 points.
