MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -- Bo McCalebb scored 29 points and grabbed nine rebounds as New Orleans beat Middle Tennessee 66-60 Saturday.
The Privateers (8-10, 3-2 Sunbelt Conference) led the entire first half and had a 7-0 run at the 9:40 mark that put them ahead 29-15.
A 3-pointer by Chad Barnes with 2:35 left in the half extended the Privateers' lead to 16, with the score 36-20. At the half, New Orleans led 38-24.
Middle Tennessee (12-7, 2-3) pulled to within 4 points at the 6:16 mark when Fats Cuyler hit a 3-pointer to make it 54-50.
The Blue Raiders tied the game at 56 with when Cuyler made a free throw with 4:08 to play.
But the Privateers regained the lead and held it the rest of the game.
Chad Barnes added 12 points for New Orleans.
Cuyler led the Blue Raiders with 17 points, while Steve Thomas had 16.
